Kinetic Aglianico 2022 - Adelaide Hills, South Australia
Some of you may remember this label, to others it may be new, either way, I know you'll be excited when you've got a glass of it in front of you.
Kinetic Wines is a small project, and while it's had a few years hiatus the concept is the same and is certainly very current, to work with the less familiar and in new ways; whether they be grapes, regions or people. To work with innovative growers and experiment with less conventional winemaking. In this case we fermented the grapes using carbonic maceration for a more genlte extraction. This means less tannin but still heaps of flavour. The low tannin factor makes this wine perfect for throwing in the fridge on a hot day for a delcious, juicy chilled red.
Reviews:
Kinetic returns with the previously favoured Aglianico from Adelaide Hills. 100% carbonic fermentation in stainless steel and no use of oak, it's equally happy in the fridge or at ambient temp. Aglianico, capable of being such a big boisterous wine, is so exciting in this style. Its high acid is the perfect backbone for a light & bright red, and its gritty tannin turns fine and silky thanks to the cab mac. Wonderfully pretty, jubey aromatics send you to the vibrant, tart palate and earthy core. - Jaseppi Wilson
